Personality: Much like his sire, Tre is a real jerk, and working with him on a daily basis can be a real pain. He's sour in the stall, having to be coaxed to the front with grain most days. If you just walk in, will go for a bite or spin his rump around to kick. He really tests his handlers, especially newer ones, as his favorite game is to try and catch the new hands too far into his stall. He will trap them in a corner where all they have to do is take a wrong breath and things will turn nasty. He hates to be groomed, and will do anything in his power to make it difficult and dangerous. Gods, though, he is gorgeous. He's big, flashy, and near perfect conformation wise. Tre has shown a real affinity to training. While he is an absolute nightmare on the ground, he's pretty cooperative when the human is 'bigger' than him - even if that's because they're on his back. He'll stand strangely patient in the morning while they wait for their turn around the oval, chomping his bit incessantly and obnoxiously, watching with what can only be described as aggressive eyes as the others streak by. Like his sire, Tre just doesn't seem to realize it's possible to push a rider around if they're, well, riding - and they try very hard not to burst that bubble. Tre's has a competitive streak a mile long, but he's surprisingly quiet when there's no humans trying to fuss with him. One of the only times he's well-behaved is when he's going out to his paddock, oddly enough. The staff have gone to lengths to ensure Tre has been taught that only good behavior is going to get him outside. Kicking, rearing, or overall acting like an idiot will land him right back in his stall, no questions asked, so he's learned to contain his energy to an excited prance all the way out. While Tre is an injury risk to any other horse, he is perfectly content to put his head down and graze - most of the time. When it's time to come in, he always runs a lap or seven before he decides to cooperate. Not being chased or anything like that, or even playing keep-away, but just on his own. He does best in company when doing works, just because he has another horse to focus on, but he's level-headed enough under saddle that he can also go solo. He is a strong, willful, headstrong beast, but his pool of talent is deep if it can only be harnessed.
RACE INFORMATIONGrade 3
6-9 furlongs Turf [Good] Dirt [Great] Race Results: 30 | 7-6-8 | 80% Running Style: Stalker While he's a real hothead in most respects, Tre seems to grasp the concept of listening on race day. He's very on the muscle in the paddock, leading most of the crowd to steer clear of his hind end even if they've never seen him throw a kick. His habit of chomping and chewing at the bit is ever-present here, eyes rolling toward each horse that walks by, and his jockey gets an idea about what's to come. Tre comes out of the gate aggressively, but a step slow, and tends to be about four length back off the leader, generally right at the front of the middle pack. He's aggressive in his chase, aggressive in his hunt, and when his jockey finally does give him the go, he's aggressive in his close. He'll boldly push his way through gaps, and seems to fully enjoy a dog fight to the finish. WORKOUTS
