SOARING PASSION (G1)
Y14 17.2HH BAY STALLION - WON OVER 8-12F DUAL
|
Personality: Soren is a big hulking beast. He's huge. Standing at an impressive 17.2 hh you just want to look at him, see all that muscle and think he's a monster about to eat you alive, but that couldn't be further from the truth. While Soren may be massive, but he isn't wild. He's more along the lines of "I'm too good to bothered with you" kind of mindset. He tolerates people and he barely tolerates his herd mates and it takes a lot to push this hulk over the edge, but if you do look out. If he's reached his limit he can and will throw his weight around in a hissy fit of epic proportions. Like we said though, it takes a lot to push him over the edge. Some say he has the patience of a saint and both Nick and Ethan were almost fit to be tied to try and figure out what motivated the colt because lets be honest...you can't force a massive monster to do something it doesn't want to do, but all hope was not lost. He's a racer. There's no doubt about it because the one thing that motivates Soren like no other is running home. In the pasture, time to come in to feed? First one there. Coming back from a workout? First one back. The colt is just too damn smart for his own good and won't give a rats ass about anything unless it means it's going to get him home quicker so you can just leave him alone. He likes his alone time it seems.

Soren was quick to learn, the faster I run home, the quicker I get my bath, feed and pasture time (in that order of course). For all of his bulk and power, some might question if he could run at all, but bribery goes a loooong way with this complicated colt. Once the light bulb hit in his brains, there was no stopping him. He might not be the first one out of the gate, but he won't be left behind. He'll settle right into the back of the mid-pack and gallop along without a care in the world, but as soon as his jockey roars the word "home" into his ear, his quiet indifference goes out the window and you have a raging competitive spirit on your hands. His acceleration is beyond amazing and in two of his big long strides, he's rolling to the finish and he'll bulldoze over anyone that gets in his way. Ah. The power of incentive...it never looked so speedy.
